Introduction

The main function of this blog is to collect all my scribblings on the subject of cosmology and related subjects in one place as I am sick and tired of loosing them over time, space and computer upgrades. Putting my rantings up on Blogger may even result in some nice feedback from (those few) other people who, like me, are fascinated by this stuff.

Don't worry, this is not going to be a place where you drown in mathematics and incomprehensible words (everything is relative though). I have been interested in theoretical physics and cosmology since my childhood. I hold no degrees in physics. I have instead devoted most of my studies and working life on computer science. It is perhaps the experiences and insights from this discipline combined with my strong interests in physics, cosmology, futurism and systems in general that leads me to write this blog.

They most definitely caused my attention to divert from a purely scientific to a more model based/philosophical/human experience based approach. Of course I can not help it that my thinking is and will be influenced by contemporary ideas and models but the idea is to think outside of the (scientific) box as much as is possible, focusing more on human experience and logic.

I can only hope you find it as interesting as I do. At the very least I will be able to read my own stuff back years from now without having to try to remember which computer carcass I saved it on.

If you have not read the essays before I advise you to read them in the order as they are listed in the Index
